Not everyone fully understands what a Data Space is, and as a result, its true potential to transform health research is often overlooked.
The SHARE project (SpanisH cAnceR data spacE) is working to build a national cancer data space that connects clinical, genomic, diagnostic, and treatment data from thousands of patients.

The goal is clear:

  • Accelerate faster, more collaborative research
  • Improve diagnostic accuracy
  • Advance towards increasingly personalized treatments
  • Ensure data privacy through technologies such as federated learning

Initiatives like this show how collaboration between healthcare institutions, technology, and data can create a real impact on the future of oncology research.
We are pleased to see Maria Torrente, part of the SHARE project, explaining it so clearly.
